
Data Science Picodegree
The Data Science Picodegree at HURU School is an intensive two month-long program that provides a comprehensive introduction to Data Science Picodegree and its fundamental paradigms. It equips students with the essential knowledge and skills required for success in the field.
PRE-COURSE ACTIVITY
All participants in the DS program must complete an introductory pre-work assignment one week prior to the start of the class. During this pre-work phase, students will become proficient in using our online learning management system (Notion), configure their development environments, and acquaint themselves with the foundational programming languages: R & Python and their associated libraries.

MONTH 1
During the first month of the Data Science Picodegree at HURU School, students embark on an intensive learning journey to gain a strong foundation in the field. The program commences with a deep dive into the fundamental principles of data science, including data collection, data cleaning, and data visualization. Students learn to harness the power of programming languages such as Python and R for data analysis, gaining hands-on experience in working with real datasets. Statistical analysis and machine learning concepts are introduced, and participants begin to apply these techniques to solve practical problems. By the end of the first month, students will have a strong grasp of the essential tools and methodologies used in data science and be well-prepared to tackle more complex challenges in the second month.
MONTH 2
In the second month of the Data Science picodegree at HURU School, students delve deeper into the world of data science, building on the knowledge and skills acquired in the first month. The curriculum shifts towards more advanced topics, including predictive modelling, data mining, and deep learning. Students work on challenging projects that require them to use data science techniques to make data-driven decisions and predictions. They also learn about data ethics and responsible data handling, preparing them for the ethical considerations in the field. Throughout the program, students have access to industry-standard tools and datasets, ensuring they are well-equipped to tackle real-world data science problems. By the end of this two-month program, graduates will have a comprehensive understanding of data science and be ready to apply their skills to a wide range of industries, from finance to healthcare to marketing.
