
Cybersecurity Picodegree
The Cybersecurity Picodegree at HURU School is an intensive two month-long program that provides a comprehensive introduction to Cybersecurity Picodegree and its fundamental paradigms. It equips students with the essential knowledge and skills required for success in the field.
PRE-COURSE ACTIVITY
All participants in the cybersecurity program must complete an introductory pre-work assignment one week prior to the start of the class. During this pre-work phase, students will become proficient in using our online learning management system (Notion), configure their development environments, and acquaint themselves with the foundational programming languages: Python that will equip them for the first day of the program.

MONTH 1
The first month of the Cyber Security Picodegree program at HURU School initiates students into the world of cybersecurity with a strong focus on foundational knowledge and skills. This month is dedicated to building a comprehensive understanding of core cybersecurity principles. Students delve into areas such as network security, encryption, and ethical hacking. They learn to identify common vulnerabilities and explore techniques for securing systems and data. Practical exercises and simulations help students grasp the basics of security testing and risk assessment. In this phase, students also gain a solid grasp of compliance and regulatory requirements that govern the cybersecurity landscape. By the end of the first month, students will have developed a strong foundation in cybersecurity fundamentals, enabling them to assess risks, detect threats, and safeguard digital assets.
MONTH 2
The second month of the Cyber Security Picodegree at HURU School takes students deeper into the domain of cybersecurity, focusing on advanced techniques and practices. Students learn about penetration testing, incident response, and security operations, gaining hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating advanced security threats. This month includes real-world scenarios, complex challenges, and practical simulations to prepare students for the ever-evolving threat landscape. They also explore the legal and ethical aspects of cybersecurity, emphasizing responsible practices and privacy considerations. By the end of this intensive two-month program, graduates will have a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity and will be well-prepared to protect organizations and individuals from cyber threats, secure sensitive data, and ensure the resilience of digital systems in an increasingly interconnected and digitally reliant world.
